Crispy Firecracker Popcorn Shrimp tucked into steamed bao with crunchy Asian slaw, cucumber, scallions and lime mayo.

Ingredients

  • TBP Signature Firecracker Popcorn Shrimp, enough for 4 servings
  • 8 steamed bao buns
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. 1Cook Firecracker Popcorn Shrimp according to package directions until crisp.
  2. 2Toss cabbage with cucumber, a little lime juice and sesame oil.
  3. 3Mix mayonnaise with remaining lime juice.
  4. 4Steam bao until soft. Fill each with slaw and Firecracker Shrimp.
  5. 5Drizzle with lime mayo and finish with scallions, cilantro and sesame.

💡 Chef's Tip

Fill the bao only at the last moment so the shrimp stays crisp and the buns remain soft.
